Meteor Near Miss in 1972


Did you ever wonder what would happen if an asteroid or even a meteor fell on Earth? It almost happened in 1972 when a meteor flew at about 36 miles high in the atmosphere, making it visible from the surface. This meteor was supposed to have ended its life in a Hiroshima-atomic bomb like blast, but it never hit the ground.
