F4 Phantom vs. Wall

The US government wanted to see what would happen if an F4 Phantom jet crashed into a concrete wall of a nuclear power station. The plane is mounted on a rocket and accelerated to 500 MPH (800 km/h) and crashed directly into the thick concrete wall.

Result of this incredible experiment is absolutely amazing. The jet is pulverized at the impact, leaving only a cloud of debris after the collision.

Comments for F4 Phantom vs. Wall

Jet, not rocket

The F-4 was a fighter jet, not a rocket. This particular F-4 was mounted on a rocket-propelled sled for the test.

Correction

Indeed, it is a jet, sorry for the mistake.
