Why he was charged that much.

Yes, it is known how he was charged this much. Convert the number into hex and you get a bunch of 20's. 20's in hex translate as a 'space' character. What basically happened was that instead of having zeroes inputted, he got spaces, translating numerically into an astronomical number.
